Well Child Visits FAQs
Well-child visits are part of a preventive health care plan to ensure your child is healthy and reaching developmental milestones as they grow.
These preventive visits also help Dr. Bhalani identify warning signs of physical, mental, or behavioral issues in the earliest stages before they impact your child’s health. With early intervention, many acute and chronic conditions are easier to manage and treat.
Cure With Care Pediatric provides well-child visits for children of all ages with flexible scheduling to accommodate parents’ busy schedules.
Dr. Bhalani also provides newborn care services to support the growth and development of infants in the earliest stages of life.
During a well-child visit at Cure With Care Pediatric, Dr. Bhalani reviews your child’s personal and medical history. He also asks questions about their physical, mental, and behavioral health since their last visit.
Dr. Bhalani completes a physical exam and notes important details about your child’s overall health, including their:
- Height
- Weight
- Temperature
- Blood pressure
- Skin health
- Joint flexibility
- Muscle strength
He also completes age-appropriate developmental and behavioral screenings during a well-child visit. In some cases, Dr. Bhalani may request blood work or other lab tests if your child has an existing health issue or is at increased risk for a chronic disease.
Well-child visits are also a great time to ensure your child is updated on immunizations that protect against contagious diseases like chickenpox, measles, and the seasonal flu.
Dr. Bhalani also provides resources to support your child’s continued growth and development. He can recommend strategies you can use to improve your child’s nutrition, encourage physical activity, and support their success at home, in school, and socially.

You should schedule well-child visits for your child at Cure With Care Pediatric regularly, even if they are feeling well and aren’t showing any unusual symptoms.
The schedule for well-child visits depends on your child’s age. Typically, newborns should meet with Dr. Bhalani within a few days of their discharge from the hospital after birth.
You can expect to schedule well-child visits every few months until your child’s third birthday. After age three, you should schedule pediatric wellness visits annually until your child turns 21.
